This year’s SAVMA Symposium was held in the City of Brotherly Love, Philadelphia, PA. The SAVMA Symposium is organized and run by veterinary students for veterinary students. There were many educational opportunities for students to take advantage of during the symposium such as lectures, wet labs, competitions, day trips and night events.
The SAVMA Symposium also offered students the opportunity to mingle with companies associated with the veterinary industry during the trade show, which was held at the Loews hotel in downtown Philadelphia. During the tradeshow we had great success talking with numerous students about the opportunities that IMV imaging offers university students, such as wet labs and our student loan program. We also had the pleasure of speaking face to face with a few students who were participating in our University Contest to win a new Easi-Scan kit for their school.
We were also proud to provide two Easi-Scan kits that students used in a lab practicum competition. Students were asked ultrasound related questions and to identify the age of a fetus on an ultrasound image.
Overall, the 2018 SAVMA Symposium was a success, and we are already looking forward to next year’s symposium in Georgia!
